Hi, I'm
Melissa Hundley
Junior Frontend Developer, Creative Professional, and Business
Owner
Based in Damascus, Oregon, USA
I am a junior developer and creative entrepreneur. I have seven
years experience working in technology services (six of those at a
local university). In that time, I primarily worked in IT project
and program management but took the opportunities to learn other
skills from the team.
My favorite tools to work with are my trusty Mac, VS Code, GitHub,
my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, Procreate, and Canva.
My journey with calligraphy began in junior high when I took my
very first lettering course. What started as a simple art elective
became a passion as an adult. Over the years, I’ve continued to be
a student of calligraphy, always excited to learn new styles,
techniques, and ways to grow as an artist.
Almost all of my designs begin by hand - whether with pen and
paper, or on my iPad in Procreate. I find calligraphy and
hand-lettering to be a wonderful way to slow myself down and focus
on a single thing. I believe what we surround ourselves with
matters and because of that, I try to surround myself with
scripture, and visual reminders of my faith and identity.
My hope is that my designs and services inspire, uplift, and
encourage people in their everyday lives - whether that is through
something you wear, something on your wall, or an app you use
everyday.
When I'm not working on coding projects, lettering or drawing
something, or learning new skills, I enjoy hanging out with
friends, playing cozy video games, music (I play several
instruments), and spending time at the beach.
